Requirements
The following hardware requiremenst are minimums:
- PII 500MHz (or equivalent)
- 128MB RAM
- 10MB HD free
- Hardware accelerated 3D video
The following software must be installed before installing the Simulation Container™:
* There are no platform specific componetns in Simlets or the SimulationContainer.
The services exposed by the Simulation Container for the preview release are
platform specific.
License
The Simulation Container™ Pre-Release is released under the
following license; it is available
for use for development and non-commercial purposes only.
The final release version will remain available for all developers and
non-commercial applications. Commercial applications will be required
to purchase a license.

Setup and Installation
Extract the contents of the zip file into a convenient location.
If the J2SE 1.4.2 JDK is not the default JDK, then open the
SimulationContainer.bat file in the SimulationContainer
directory. Edit the path to the java executable.
Release notes
There are a few limitations on the services provided with this pre-release
version of the Simulation Container:
- A SWT specific version of JOGL is
used. This verion uses the original JOGL code and therefore does not have
any recent updates or fixes.
- JInput and JOAL are not available.
- The display window cannot be displayed without decoration or in full screen.
These limitations will be removed for the final release.
