Friends
"One of the principal functions of a friend is to suffer (in a milder and symbolic form) the punishments that we should like, but are unable, to inflict upon our enemies."

I get dozens of the same type of question presented in the same way each week.

All I have to ask at this point is: what does this have to do with Huxley's quote on friendship? Was Huxley attempting to argue that the company interview is like the friend that we punish? Or perhaps are our friends receiving the brunt force for our failed interviews?

The question was asked in a very E. E. Cummings style of capitalization. Perhaps you're attempting to make some subtle connection there?
